AURIGA

Auriga is a private brokerage for architecturally significant houses in the Nordic landscape. We represent very few properties, and we represent them completely.
Villa Lysning
In the film: engraved into the granite arrival monolith.
A board-formed concrete plinth set into the granite shelf, and above it a single glazed volume cantilevered eleven metres over the water. The house has one idea and commits to it entirely: everything structural is concrete, everything you touch is oak.
The atelier
In the film: projected by low sun through the concrete brise-soleil.
Founded in 2009 in Bergen. Eleven people. We do not run listings — we build the case for a building. That means measured drawings, a commissioned film, provenance research, and a buyer list we have spent fifteen years earning the right to call.
Practice

Discreet sale and acquisition of architecturally significant houses. No portal listings, no open viewings.
02 — Architectural counsel
Pre-sale interventions with the original architect where possible. Restraint over renovation.
03 — Site acquisition
Shoreline, fjord and forest parcels with buildable envelopes, secured before they reach the market.
04 — Stewardship
Long-term custodianship for owners abroad — maintenance, climate, insurance, archive.

Method
In the film: anamorphic — resolves from a single point on the stair.
A mandate runs eleven months on average. It runs in four movements.
01 — Survey
Six weeks on site. Measured drawings, materials audit, light study across a full season.
02 — Dossier
A bound architectural monograph, a film, and a valuation defended line by line.
03 — Approach
We contact between four and forty people. Never more. The house is shown at the right hour.
04 — Transfer
Legal, structural and fiscal handover, and the archive passed to its next custodian.
The record
In the film: cast as a real shadow through the perforated screen.
Fifteen years, measured honestly.
Voices
In the film: held in the surface of the pool.
They talked me out of two houses before they sold me one. That is the entire reason I trusted them on the third.
The dossier they produced is the only document about my house I have ever wanted to keep.
Eleven months, one buyer, no viewings. I never once saw a photograph of my own home on the internet.
